How to apply for the Kit Digital

September 2026 update. The national Kit Digital no longer accepts applications: Red.es closed the last two calls on 31 October 2025, after awarding around 850,000 grants. Order TDF/39/2026 keeps the programme alive until its funds run out, but there is no open call and no published date for a new one. This guide stays as a reference for the procedure and for anyone who already holds a voucher and is in the reporting phase.
The other route, the Junta de Extremadura line for SMEs and the self-employed, closed its 2026 call on 13 August, so there is no open window there either right now. That one does come back: it is awarded in order of arrival, so whoever arrives with the technical project written gets in first next time. How to apply for KIT DIGITAL aid
To apply for the Kit Digital you need to access two different platforms:
- Acelerapyme, where you will complete a self-assessment test
- red.es where you will request that the KIT be granted to you. This application checks that you have completed the Digital Maturity Self-Assessment. If you have not done it, it will not let you continue with the application.
Registration in Acelerapyme and red.es must use the same CIF/NIF so everything matches correctly when the self-assessment checks are made.

When you finish the first part of the test, you must complete the second part of the test so that when applying for the Kit Digital in red.es it does not give you an error. As soon as you have completed both parts, you can go to red.es to apply for the KIT
What Order TDF/39/2026 says, and why it is not a new call
Worth reading, because half the sector has reported it as the Kit Digital coming back, and that is not what it says. Order TDF/39/2026 was published in the BOE of 28 January 2026 (BOE-A-2026-2070) and came into force the next day. It is not a call for applications: it amends the regulatory bases, Order ETD/1498/2021.
Two changes matter:
- It removes the deadline. Article 4 now reads that the order applies "a las ayudas que se convoquen desde la entrada en vigor de la misma y hasta el agotamiento total de los fondos" - to aid called from its entry into force until the funds are exhausted. What closes the programme is the money now, not the calendar.
- It allows applications rejected for lack of budget to be picked up. If funds remain once a call has been resolved, the instructing body "formulará nuevas propuestas de resolución definitivas". So an applicant turned down because the credit ran out, rather than for failing a requirement, can be granted without anything new being opened.
What it does not do is open a window. As things stand there is no call to apply to and no published date for one. If someone tells you the Kit Digital is open again, ask them for the call number.
In the meantime the only things worth doing in advance are the usual two: have the Digital Maturity Self-Assessment done, which is the requirement most people leave until last, and have it written down what the voucher would pay for. Apply for the Kit Digital
The kit is requested from red.es
You need to know which call you should apply to. It is easy: it depends on the number of employees the company has (which you have to prove). Do not try to "sneak in" more employees to access a call with a higher amount of funding. They will check it no matter what and they will reject the aid, meaning you will have to apply again and will have lost more than 2 months.
It is very simple and they will only ask for details about your company and the applicant.

In this section, enter the company's NIF and the company names that correspond to that NIF will appear. You may see several; select one of them.
Once you have selected a company, click "Buscar" on the right-hand side of the screen.
Complete all the questions until it lets you submit the application.
